H2CAP PLUS

H2CAP PLUS

The hydrogen water bottle that publishes its numbers

A 53-gram hydrogen water bottle cap that works with any standard bottle. SPE/PEM electrolysis, third-party tested — every figure below links to the instrument and conditions behind it.

1,000–1,500ppb H₂ −400–−800mV ORP 3:30min cycle 53g
How it works

Electrolysis, separated by a platinum PEM

The generator splits water into hydrogen and oxygen, and the membrane decides what reaches your glass.

H2CAP PLUS two-chamber nine-layer electrode system with platinum PEM
Two-chamber, 9-layer electrode stack with platinum-coated titanium cross-mesh and PEM.
1

Water is split by electrolysis

A low-voltage current across platinum-coated titanium plates separates water into hydrogen and oxygen gas.

2

The PEM keeps only H₂ in your water

The proton-exchange membrane physically separates the chambers, venting oxygen and byproducts away from the drinking side — measured separation efficiency of 99%.

3

USB power, no battery to age

Power comes from any USB source — power bank, laptop, adapter. Nothing inside degrades with charge cycles, which is part of how the cap stays at 53 g.

Most cheap hydrogen water bottle designs skip the membrane entirely and electrolyze in a single chamber, which leaves ozone and chlorine in the glass. A proton-exchange membrane is what separates a hydrogen water bottle you would actually drink from an electrolysis toy — and it is the single most expensive component in the cap.

The numbers, and who measured them

One test by an outside body in Japan; one long-run retention curve from our KOITA-recognized R&D lab.

JHPA third-party hydrogen concentration test of the H2CAP, report 218H-221
Third-party

JHPA, Japan — 1,036 ppb measured

Tested October 2018 by the Japan Hydrogen Water Promotion Association: mineral water, bottle filled to 90%, measured immediately after a 3:30 cycle on a TRUSTLEX ENH-1000.

Dissolved hydrogen retention over 300 hours with the lid closed, by water type
In-house

Hydrogen holds for days — if the lid stays on

With the cap closed, dissolved H₂ stays above 1,000 ppb for 300 hours across water types. Open the lid, and it is gone within 48. The lid is not a detail.

Full test method & data

Device numbers are only half the story. The wider research on molecular hydrogen — over 1,700 publications indexed on PubMed and curated by the Molecular Hydrogen Institute — is promising but still maturing, with most human trials small. We summarize that evidence honestly on our science pillar rather than overstating it here. What a hydrogen water bottle can honestly promise today is the concentration it delivers — and that is the number we publish and test.

Daily use

Three and a half minutes, start to finish

H2CAP PLUS fits standard 28 mm and 30 mm bottle necks — no proprietary container.

  1. Fill & attachFill the bottle, screw the cap on, turn it upside down.
  2. Connect USBAny USB source starts the cycle automatically — there is no battery inside.
  3. Wait for the orange LED3:30–5:00 depending on water quality; the sensor stops the cycle on its own.
  4. Detach & drinkDrink soon, or keep the lid closed — sealed, the H₂ holds for days.

This form factor was built for three situations: travel, where a 53 g cap beats a 500 g bottle; offices, where USB power is everywhere; and households already buying bottled water, where the same bottles simply gain a hydrogen water bottle cap. If the unit will sit unused for a few days, store it with a little water inside and the lid closed — the PEM is hydrophilic and performs best kept moist. Avoid water above 40°C and carbonated water.
